I’m excited to announce that I’ve finally started interviewing really cool business leaders, entrepreneurs, internet gurus, and CEOs for my new digital show called Down to Business. The show is produced by deca.tv (Digital Entertainment Corporation of America) - a production house created to deliver mainstream digital entertainment by Michael Wayne and Chris Kimbell, both formerly of Sony Pictures.
Although Down to Business doesn’t launch until the end of August, I was able to visit the deca.tv studios in Santa Monica – while filming Slamball games in LA - and conduct interviews with a dozen guests who are sure to entertain and enlighten you. For example, my guests included the likes of Michael Ball, the founder of Rock & Republic; Flavia Colgan, outspoken political commentator regularly seen on Extra, Hard Ball and Bill O’Reilly; Jason Calacanis, founder of the search engine Mahalo; Dean Valentine, producer of sitcoms such as Home Improvement and Ellen; and speaking of Ellen, I had her brother on the show Vance DeGeneres, who just announced a new project for Yahoo called the Lunacy Report. And knowing Vance, there’s no better name for his latest comedic creation.
In addition to retrieving nuggets of inspiration and motivation from their journey to success, I’m also curious on what the guests perceive to be bullshit in their respective space. And the answers are quite entertaining. No punches held.
Or else.
All my guests are informed prior to the taping that the roughly 20-minute interview will be edited down to a strong 5-minute segment for the net; and they also know that the viewers have the opportunity to respond to what they see and hear by replying on the site’s trademark “Bullshit Meter.” That’s right. I want to know what the audience thinks and feels relative to the interview. Is the guest full of shit or is the interview information good stuff? BS or GS?
I hate watching interviews when you know the guest is circumventing the question. Or parroting politically correct answers. Or strategically changing the subject. I like to scream at the TV, “Answer the f#*#!*# question!”
Well, on Down to Business the guests will answer the question or answer to the audience’s replies on the Bullshit Meter.
Stay tune for the exact launch date.

Michael Ball, of Rock and Republic, with me before his interview.

Flavia Colgan goes on a rant about Skinny Water during her interview for Down to Business.
