Market & Solutions
High quality medical laboratories are part of the fundamental infrastructure of a proper health care system. The importance of medical laboratories to patient care is captured by the fact that up to 70% of clinical diagnoses are based on analytical data from medical laboratories and other diagnostic equipment. And yet, medical laboratories in developing countries lack the most basic of standards and management tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
The OneWorld team creates and implements scalable country-wide medical laboratory quality programming, standards, education and compliance solutions that empower client-countries. Unlike other solutions, OneWorld uses an education-based philosophy that seeks realistic continual improvement to achieve “best practices” through an intelligent balance of rigor and practicality. By taking a holistic approach to ground-up, step-wise quality improvement, the company creates the bedrock for healthcare transformation in each client-country.
Case Study: India
In February 2007, the Quality Council of India (QCI), at www.qcin.org, selected OneWorld to craft and deliver its national standards implementation (see www.qci-oneworldlab.in) for all 100,000 of India’s public and private medical laboratories. In addition, OneWorld-Lab is actively exploring partnerships in China, Mexico, the Middle East and other emerging economies.
